40 Days for Life
Cardinal Keeler encourages all Catholics of the Archdiocese to take part in the national 40 Days for Life effort September 26th thru November 4th. In addition to prayer and fasting, the faithful are encouraged to consider registering to pray outside an abortion clinic, either Hillcrest Clinic, 5602 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville, or Planned Parenthood, 330 N. Howard St. Baltimore. In a letter to priests Cardinal Keller wrote: "The focus will be one conversion, forgiveness and prayer for those who provide or assist in abortions, those encouraging mothers to do so, and the mothers themselves, so that all may come to the understand the truth of the dignity of human life from the first moment of conception. Prayer will also be for the softening of hardened hearts and the healing of broken hearts caused by abortion." For more info call Linda Brenegan at the Respect Life Office: 410-547-5537.

Holy Hour for Life
In response to the Cardinal's request, Fr. Paul has scheduled a Holy Hour for Life on September 30th between the 8 and 11 AM masses from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Prayers and rosary will be offered for a greater respect for Life from conception to natural death.
Stand Training
Fr. Paul strongly encourages all our members involved in a ministry to fulfill the requirement for STAND soon. The next sessions are: Wednesday September 19th at 10am and Tuesday September 25th at 5pm in the rectory. You must view the video before the paperwork is sent. This is a sacrifice of time, but the whole purpose is to assure a safe environment for our children. Fr. Paul asks all leaders or directors of the various ministries to assure that all members are in compliance.
Parish Pastoral Council
The council meets this Tuesday, September 18th at 7pm in the rectory.
Live-in Vocational Retreats
Are you a single, faithful Catholic man between 18 and 50, who is seriously considering your vocation in life possibly as a priest or religious figure? The Capuchin Franciscan Friars are sponsoring a retreat from September 28th thru the 30th and November 15th thru 18th. Sunday Schoool Open House
Mrs. Bruce and the Sunday School Teachers invite all our parishioners to an Open House next Sunday, September 23rd after the 8am mass in the School. Mrs Bruce & the teachers will be present to answer any questions about the program and to register any child who has not yet done so.
Spaghetti Dinner
Saturday, October 20th from 3 to 7pm in the cafeteria. Tickets are $6.00. Meals includes: Small Salad, a healthy serving of spaghetti, 2 meatballs, dinner roll & dessert. Tickets are available from Inez Yarborough or call the rectory.
Baptism Class
Deacon Chris will be offering a Baptism Instruction Class for all those Parents and Godparents of children needing to be Baptized on Saturday, September 29th at 10am in the rectory. PARENTS AND GODPARENTS MUST BE PRESENT. The class is a little over an hour long. Parents please remember both Godparents need to be Christian and one MUST BE A PRACTICING CATHOLIC. We Welcome our Deacon and Seminarians
We welcome Deacon Christopher Celentano, 2nd year Theologian, Carlo Stebbings and first year Theologian, Jonathan Hoffmann to the parish. These young men will complete their Pastoral Year here at St. Ambrose. WELCOME!!!!
Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts ages 6 thru 11 and Girl Scouts ages 12 thru 17 meet on Saturdays in the school from 3 to 6:30pm.
Senior Luncheon
The next gathering of the Senior Luncheon will be Saturday, September 22nd at 10:30am in the rectory. Envelopes are available on the info table. Donation of $15 are accepted. We will gather for 15 games of bingo, fellowship and lunch. If you would like to help with the meal please sign up at the info table.
France Pilgramage June, 2008
Father Paul has worked out the details of the parish pilgrimage to France for June, 2008. Plans are set for June 16-25, for Paris, Lourdes (Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes), Never (Shrine of St. Bernadette), Avignon (The Papal Palace) and Para La Monial (Convent of the apparitions of the Sacred Heart). Cost of the trip is $3,149.00, we are using the same service we used last year, Unitours. The price is based on 20 people attending. We are traveling at peak season in Europe. Saint Ambrose School
Our Parish school is now accepting registration for the 20007-08 academic year. We have an excellent program for children in grades k-8th. Financial assistance is available. Give them the greatest gift whihc is a quality education in a Catholic-Christian environment.

RCIA Process
If you have never been baptized or have been batized and never made your first communion, or want to become a member of the Catholic Faith. Then this process is for you - RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiantion of Adult) the program begins in med September and runs until Easter. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Fr. Atlantic City Trip
